OFF-GRID HOTWATER SYSTEM BUILD FROM SALVAGE
August 3 @ 10:00 am - August 10 @ 4:00 pm UTC+0| Free
Building your own off-grid hotwater system can be cheap to build and is definitely cheap to run. Add to that the satisfaction of knowing that you built it yourself…..well a hot shower takes on a whole new meaning.
Your host, Murray Goodchild, has facilitated and presented on numerous DIY Green Tech/ Permaculture-related events and has had first hand experience building his own off-grid hotwater system which heats water using solar energy and wood combustion. He has also gained a wealth of experience with rocket stove technology through building, teaching and researching.
In this workshop we will build a working hot water system in which you will gain the know-how, through hands-on experience, to build this system yourself. You’ll also learn where to source the materials and how to adapt the model to suit different applications and conditions.
The workshop will run for two consecutive Saturdays (3rd & 10th July) from 10am-4pm. A vegetarian lunch made from Peace Farm’s own scrumptious, seasonal produce will be provided.
Cost is as follows:
-Early bird (Ends 23rd July) $150 for both days or $80 per day.
-(After 23rd July) $180 for both days or $100 per day.
